My family dined here for the second time this week. We were pleased with our experience. Service was great, waters refilled often (a good thing after a day by the pool!). We started with a baked Brie and it was different than any I've ever tried before. It wasn't your typical puff pastry Brie but rather Brie on garlic bread, topped with balsamic marinated garlic slices. Unique! Tasty though and we enjoyed trying a new preparation. A few in our party ordered a Caesar side salad and were disappointed. It's my 6 year old son's favorite thing to eat and he didn't like it. My husband commented that it tasted watery and lacked flavor. Unfortunate as it cost $2 more than just their standard dinner salad.
Dinners were enjoyed by all except for my husband. Nothing wrong with the dish, he just didn't love it. It was listed as a customer favorite so he was disappointed. Also they have some interesting combinations, such as their champagne scampi-not your typical scampi but a richer, creamier sauce. Served on its own with a side of rigatoni with marinara. We are used to scampi with a lemon garlic butter sauce over pasta. Kind of a different way to serve things.
Bread is fantastic and plentiful.
All in all, another enjoyable meal at this quaint little trattoria.
