  • I enjoyed this place for lunch..... The likes: The humorous menu and helpful staff..... Nice portions, the Miso soup is excellent and large. The edamame was adequate and fresh. My lunchmate had the Vegas roll which was good but not the best in town by a long shot (think Hana and Dozo) The dislikes: I ordered the katsu... This is a sticking point with me as few or no restaurants in the US seem to serve this properly. The Katsu was goos but tasted like a generic chicken cutlet. Panko should be VERY crispy and tasty this was not. The appropriate accompniament is always white rise (check!) and shredded cabbage. There seems to be the temptation to eliminate or modify this in the US. Bad Idea! While the "Asian Slaw" is tasty it dominates the plate in a not so good way. The Tea - Dammit! why do place have to serve such crappy tea! It is an inexpensive way to complement a meal. We got an ancient teabag with genmaicha in it served uncermonioously The Service - Come her with lots of time the service was inattentive and sporadic. When she was there it was great it was the 20 minute absence that killed the deal I will go back for the AYCE buffet and try the sushi...
