  • Saw this show back in September. Unfortunately it has closed, but I hope it comes back. I really dislike the book for multiple reasons, so when I got a ticket for free, I figured why not give it a chance. It was actually surprisingly very entertaining, especially for people like me who think the book is ridiculous in itself. The actor who plays Christian Grey is worth it in itself. There were a few references I missed out on because I didn't know the book as well, but overall I thought it was enjoyable. I also thought it would be boring for guys, but I was happy to say a fellow would be entertained as well (unless he is very easily offended). The humor in this can be crude at times, but not overwhelmingly so. I think the show was a good balance and could keep anyone entertained. If you love the book I highly recommend this as you will DEFINITELY enjoy it and probably get all the in jokes. If you hated the book or just thought it was okay, I still think it's worth going to. If jokes about sex aren't your thing than you should probably skip it.
