| - Visited the store looking for a birthday present for my mom and Christmas presents for friends and family. Ended up buying the 4 pack Tile Style & Sport.
Stood in line for 30 minutes to checkout, store wasn't busy. There was some self absorbed asshole customer having a jolly time holding up the line talking up the cashier asking several questions about the item he just purchased and other pointless chitchat. The line began to pile up and soon enough there's 10 people in line irritated tapping their feet, sighing, and pissed off. Not the stores fault I guess. Probably could of called in some backup, or had him transferred to a floor sales associate to have them answer his last minute questions and deal with his b.s. but whatever. Finally purchased the Tile. Thought everything was fine. Gave my mom her birthday present a day early and my brother and one of my friends their Tile as an early Christmas gift, kept the final one for myself. Low and behold, my tile doesn't work.
So I go to the store the next day with the single malfunctioning tile, thinking they would be able to easily replace it. Wrong. Customer service lady, I don't know her name ( wasn't wearing a nametag, all I remember from her appearance is she had gapped teeth) informed me that I would have to have every tile in my possession in order to replace the one broken one.
"SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT I HAVE TO GO COLLECT ALL OF MY CHRISTMAS GIFTS I JUST GAVE OUT IN ORDER FOR YOU FIX THIS ISSUE"
"Yes."
So stupid me, instead of asking to speak to a manager. I leave the store and proceed to my moms house taking back her gift on her BIRTHDAY asking for my brothers back, and driving 30 minutes to my friends house to collect hers. I go back to the store and am able to return and rebuy my gift. Which I then make another trip to my friends to give her her tile back, then to my parents to give my brother and my mom their Christmas and Birthday present back. What an ordeal! Pissed is an Understatement. Thinking back if the lady had any common sense or any customer service capabilities she would have given me store credit to buy a single tile to replace the broken one or even enlisted help with a manger on the best way to rectify the situation.
I have spent thousands at Best Buy and even opened up a credit card last week with them, which I will no longer be using. I am NEVER returning to this location again and will think twice when shopping with this company.
