I use this shoe repair place despite living on the west side. I started going there and have always been happy with the results.
Previously, the shoe repair place had been owned by an old European couple. The lady was blunt, short, but she knew her shoes!
Now it seems to have transfered to a younger gentleman - which was a surprise to me when I dropped off my shoes. The storefront has been spruced up and he now sells more clothing, purses and many of them with an urban flair. He has orange walls, a water fountain, lots of knick-nacks for sale and there is also a spinning 90's style rack that kept me mesmorized while I waited for him to retrieve my shoes.
Overall, this guy seems to know his shoes just as much as the little old lady that he must have bought the shop from. Everything came back to me with new heels, cleaned, and for a decent price.
I'll keep making the trek.
