  • In 2015 we had a great experience with Jim Mello and SunShader by Design (now aka Havana Shade) installing two motorized shades; however, our latest experience in May 2017 was an absolute TOTAL disaster, resulting in no shade being installed. Buyer Beware...SunShader by Design and Havana Shade are NOT an AZ Registered Contractor and Jim Mello is completely incompetent when it comes to being honest with the customer, meeting deadlines or even returning calls. His voice mail box is always full. I had to eventually threaten him that I would call the U.S. Secret Service for writing a bad refund check before we finally got a cash refund on our down payment.
