  • My regular vet used to be at Bathurst and Dupont but after a move west, it was just too far to lug my poor cats when emergencies hit. This September was just such an emergency. My male cat started displaying worrying signs of a urinary tract infection with blood in his pee, I took him in immediately the next day, and despite missing a ride and arriving late, they were able to accomodate me rather quickly and help explain to my frazzled state what we were looking at. I was able to take him home same day after some tests and medicines. Unfortunately his treatment didn't stick and 2 visits later was an emergency situation. He had crystals that did not shrink and required emergency surgery. This was a Saturday morning; they told me the costs of going to an emergency clinic for 24hr watch were triple their costs but slightly more secure, but offered to give my cat surgery right away and have vets check on him three times a day while he was kenneled on the Sunday they were closed if I wanted that option instead. I took the chance, unable to afford the alternative, and with their expertise on the next Tuesday I was able to take him home, a bit groggy but healthy nonetheless. They checked up with me on the phone constantly during this period of time and always had somebody available to answer questions when I called in. All in all after 4 visits my total cost has been about $1700 over a period of 2 months but the result is a healthy, happy, lovely friend for life whos life is now safer for it. All the vets, techs and other staff were lovely, very understanding and even went through a point by point cost for my cats bills which helped reassure me as an owner that their prices were fair and their treatment wasn't buffeted with extra charges like some other vets in Toronto seem to do. Highly highly recommend these guys, can't say that enough.
