rev:text	Whew! Boy, was I worried! I was booked into the Le Méridien Charlotte for a work meeting. Lo and behold I looked up the hotel on Yelp to find out it has a 2 1/2 star rating. I had no choice but to go and hope for the best! Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised! The Le Méridien is connected to the Sheraton. It is a strange set up. It's hard to tell where one hotel starts and one ends. The lobbies and public areas are kind of enmeshed together. It is a chic modern decor. There is always fruit infused water in the lobby and champagne served in the afternoon. The rooms are large and clean. There was a high end Expresso maker. I did not find the king size bed that comfortable but the linens were soft. The bathroom was on the small size for a high end hotel but there were nice Malin & Goetz toiletries. I agree with the many other review regarding the terrible design of the shower. Why it is only half enclosed so the whole bathroom gets wet when one showers? The other negative to the room is that it is not sound proofed at at all. I could hear sound in the hallway and room next door so if you are a light sleeper I suggest you wear earplugs! When I checked in my room was not ready. The front desk was supposed to text me but they never did. Otherwise, I found the staff to be friendly and responsive. I was here for a meeting. The rooms were easy to navigate and the catering was very good. My company paid the bill so I cannot comment on the value but for me it was a very pleasant stay!
