I first heard about Marianne's through my coworkers a couple weeks ago. They told me about the Love Plate and it looked really good. They told me it tasted amazing as well, so I had to try it myself.
Marianne's is located just outside Mount Sinai (toward Princess Margaret). I ordered a Love Plate with 1/2 jerk chicken sausage, 1/2 elk sausage, 1/2 white potato, quinoa salad and it was topped with sauteed onions and sour cream ($9). You can opt for 1/2 sausage with quinoa or full sausage without quinoa for $7.
Although it was slightly burnt, the jerk chicken was very tasty. I wanted to try her wild boar sausage too, but she only had elk and bison. I don't think I'll be ordering elk again because it was very lean and a bit gamy. I figured there would be parsley and celery in the quinoa salad and I'm not a fan of either, but the coconut dressing is very good.
I would give Marianne's another try since it's so close to my workplace and it'll be nice to try other game sausages.
