  • First off, I am in San Diego, Ca and this company is not in Arizona, it is in Santa Monica, CA, just so you know we are talking about the same place. Very poor customer service, I have rented from them for 10 months now and every time i call in i get the runaround, no matter what it is I am asking about... I don't know if the people who answer the phone are just not educated about the company they work for, or if they just don't care, but you hear one thing from them and another from HQ... First off, we were living in a hotel when we found this property... we had to go through so many rings in order to even qualify for the house and once we did, it took them 5 days to respond to us and let us know all was good and we could move it. We spent nearly $1000 because we were waiting on them, and when we called, they had no answers. Right away they were not a very good company, but we needed a place to stay as we had just moved from Chicago and another place we were going to move into had fallen through. Upon moving in, the house was infested with Ants... I called numerous times and they told me it wasn't something they covered... i told them it was infested when we moved in and I don't remember the ants being on the lease... they said they would look into it multiple times and never got back to me... i had to spend hundreds of my own money to rectify this situation. The maintenance is a joke... First off, you call in and file the complaint/work order and then you don't hear back from them for weeks... you have to stay on them to even get someone out there... they were sending a guy from Tijuana, Mexico to my house for the first few months, he was working on the issues I had an every single thing he came out to fix was an eye-sore or was not fixed permanently, and to this day they are still working on solving the issue. Since around 4 months ago, they started sending real workers, but its scary to know they are hiring immigrants and probably paying them peanuts to come into your home with your wife and children, only to do a bang up job... I called in a few months into my lease because it looked like I was being forced to move due to my job and they told me that they would go after my credit and everything even though I said it wasn't for sure yet and if it did happen, I would give them enough notice and help them show the house and I even said I would pay the rent until the house was rented by someone else... it didn't matter to them, they wanted their money and my problems didn't make a difference so right off the bat I knew I was working with greedy people who could care less about me, only wanted my money. 3 months before ending my lease with them, i called them and asked them if I could extend my lease for 6 months and the woman "Trisha" said that it isn't allowed. I was very clear that I was trying to build a future and needed around 6 months to save/buy a home, but that again, didn't matter. She said that I could either leave when my lease expires, or I could pay my normal rent and around $300 to $400 extra each month after my lease expires to stay in the house. On top of that, i would need to notify them 30 days ahead of time before I leave. I was amazed... really? They would turn away a renter who has never been late on rent, who has taken care of the home as if it were his own and risk having the house be vacant for a number of months until another renter came along... she made it very clear that, YES, that was ok with them. She then sent me a letter via email so that I could let them know that I won't be there any longer than my lease. Here's the kicker... 1.5 weeks later I received a letter from HQ and they wanted me to re-up my lease, or tell them how long I wanted to extend my lease for... I was amazed that I had such a heated conversation, Trisha didn't even think to ask her boss/manager, she turned a customer away unhappy, all for NO REASON AT ALL! because they already do what I was asking! All in all, i would avoid them... they only want top notch credit scores and people that make a good amount of money, but then they turn around and treat them like the are prisoners... There are tons of good property management properties out there, find another... take it from someone who just spent a year working with them, they are not a customer friendly company... nobody wants to drop $2000 in rent each month to be treated like garbage...
