| - What a beautiful view and a crazy adventure!
We started on the #5 trail and a hiker told us how it loops around back to the start. So we thought, okay, why not? Stupid me, we didn't have a map so we didn't know when it was going to end. We guessed the general direction of our car, so we decided to take a short cut to cut straight across a hill. It felt like a never ending hike that took us about 4 hours!
The last 30 minutes, I was feeling tired and wondered where our car was.... thinking are we going to be stuck here forever? The view was gorgeous and most of the trails was well paved. When we finally found our car, we were OVERJOYED!!! Overall, it was a great hike! I think if I knew how long and when it would end, I would have enjoyed the latter half of the hike. After getting in the car, I took a bite of an apple...and I felt like I was in heaven!
Lesson learned:
1. Bring a map
2. Go to the intended hike and turn back around unless you want to hike for 4 hours!
3. Bring a hat, water, and a backpack
