There is something that appeals to me about authentic regional cuisine brought to us by locals that really care about what they are doing. A Taste of Europe is one of those places. No one told me as much, but it is obvious from first sitting down that I was in for something special.
I had the pierogi mix, which is a single pierogi of each of their many different kinds. They are available either fried or boiled. Although I was unable to figure out which was my favorite (mainly because they were all so good), I guess it doesn't matter. It's really hard to go wrong on these.
My wife had the Hunter's Stew. It came with some slices of crusty bread. As soon as it came to the table the aroma of this dish made me rethink my order. It just smelled delicious! I tasted some, and it was really good. If you are thinking that this is a stew that comes in a bowl, you are not picturing it correctly. I was surprised to see that this stew sat on a plate and was not what I was picturing as a stew. It was better than i was picturing.
The service was perfect, the decor was from people who obviously cared about what they were doing, the place wasn't too big so one gets lost. All in all, it was perfect for my tastes. I just love this place.
So stop what you are doing and just go have a meal there.
