  • I am a local. Maybe if I hadn't recently seen David Copperfield? My review will cover the entire experience starting with the fact we arrived over 2 hours early for the 7 pm show and the valet was full. After some time (15 minutes) we did manage to park in a self-parking garage which shocked me that the hotel had put metal barriers in the designated walkways forcing pedestrians to walk in the way of traffic for which there was a lot of? When it was time we entered the show and were told, no cameras, no cell phones on during the show etc. Then the person that greeted us inside said it again? At the seat they told us once more. I mention this because I heard that said before the show started about 30 times. I was ready to scream. I felt like I was in grade school again. More appropriate would be to leave the signs they have posted (yes it's also posted and I can read), and make the announcement to the audience before the curtain goes up (which they did as well). Seating was substandard. The rows were very long which brings me to the fact 4 of us were seated at the end of one row and all of a sudden an employee directed a busload, over 20 people to our row at the point where we were seated (the other end was totally empty). This was very rude and annoying to us as we got trampled. If you sit behind an adult you will have to strain and bob your head to see the show. The seats are not staggered. The show started without Chris and another person covered for the first 7 minutes which was odd. Then we had to watch movie clips of Chris for about 12 minutes. It just took forever to have the star appear. Often during the show I felt like I was at a comedy and not an illusionists show. I didn't appreciate being blinded throughout the performance by the stage lights. At one point there was an illusion which nobody in my party caught and had no idea what happened. Right before this illusion we were blinded by extremely bright lights for the first time which indicated to me that they did this on purpose? The comedy was for the most part very funny; however, I didn't appreciate one individual on the stage sticking an item where his penis is having the item impersonate his penis. There were children in the audience. The music was very loud at times and of course the blinding lights in your eyes. The magic acts were performed quickly but with humor. Some of the acts were not easily comprehended. A lot of the magic was common and sub stanndard. If they had put video screens throughout the large theater it would be better for those seated far from the stage (like us). We attended this show for our 12 & 14 yr old and at the end they said it was a great show. Yes, I agree this is a show for younger people. Now, for the cost. Every show in Las Vegas is expensive these days. I used a 2 tickets for $99.00 for locals deal and purchased 4 tickets. I'm still trying to figure out how my bill got to be $259.00. The seats we got were awful. In my opinion this experience was probably only worth $50.00 a seat by today's standards. If you have pre-teens/teens, this is a great show for them.
