  • Unfortunately not a good review here. I actually have never wrote a review on yelp but this unacceptable experience I had at Alterations by Ana can't go unnoticed for future clients. It was a tuesday afternoon and i stopped by Alterations by Ana to get two of my work pants taken in at the waist and the hem. Lida has helped me once before and she was assisting me again on that tuesday and took my measurements and gave me my pick up ticket for that friday for my two pants that were going to get worked on. Friday then comes along and I was in a hurry to get my pants and make it to work on time so I came picked it up and tried it on a only looked at the length and the waist felt nicely fitted. I then get to work and my manager pointed out the fit of the pants in the crotch and lower part of my butt was a bit saggy. I work in a place where tailoring and fit is key so my manager let me know i would have to correct the fit. The next day was saturday and i got up before Alteration by Ana opened at 10 so i could get them fixed that same day I drove from south west are where I live only to get there with a post it on the door saying she was sick to come back on tuesday when they are open next. So tuesday come around and I go in to let Lida know I need the butt area of my pants taken in so they can fit correctly. When Lida was pinning the pants up she just sounded very unsure if she could fix the puckering crouch and saggy butt area. A costumer then walks in and she tells my to take off the first pants and put the other one on to pin those as well. By this point I'm feeling really discouraged about my confidence in Lida to fix her minor mistake. So I take off the pants and go to the counter to talk to her and she was just telling me what she can do and not promising that it is gonna fit the way I need it to. She then let me know it would be an additional $30 to the $60 I already paid the first time. At this point I was so confused on why I would be charged again for a mistake that Lida made. I was not upset but i kindly asked for her to do it with no charge and this is when the situation turned. Lida then started yelling at me "THIS IS NOT A DONATION SERVICE!!" "I DID WHAT YOU ASKED ME TO DO AND YOU WANT SERVICE YOU GET CHARGED!!" I have worked in costumer service for 8 years now and have never experienced something like this. At this point I'm so confused at when she is yelling at me with another customer just watching. So I kindly said unfortunately i am not happy with your services and I'm going to have to ask for my some of my money back and from this point the situation for even worse. She then starts yelling "IF YOU WANT GOOD FITTING PANTS TELL YOUR MANAGER TO STOP GIVING YOU NOT GOOD QUALITY OF PANTS!!" and side note each pants retails at $195. I stand there and tell her multiple of times to please lower her volume and stop yelling as i only have respect for you and what you have done for me in the past but it had no affect on her and she continued to yell. So at this point the only the only thing could do to get some money back is ask for my receipt and file a claim at small claims court. I then kindly asked for a receipt because i did not have one due to her receipts being hand written and almost like a ticket to pick up your garments. She REFUSED to give me a receipt which by law I am entitled to after paying. She then told me "SORRY NO RECEIPT FOR YOU!!" I then mentioned that i would unfortunately have to write a claim and she then yelled "YOU CAN DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT.. GET THE POLICE INVOLVED YOU CANT DO ANYTHING I HAVE MY BUSINESS LICENSE AND I DID NOTHING WRONG!!" At that point there is nothing I could do. So I just left the shop with a bad taste in my mouth and just wanna make this review clear it was never a yelling match between Lida and I. I was calm and respectful towards her the entire time. I just wish I had got the same respect from her. I DO NOT recommend their services to anybody.
