Best Southern restaurant in Charlotte. Myself being a native to Charlotte this is by far the best southern food I've had in the city. I went for lunch with my family and were not disappointed. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a house salad, the sandwich was fried and seasoned perfectly topped with homemade pickles, slaw, and a special sauce. My family got the fried chicken with sweet potato mash, collards, and green beans. The fried catfish that my sister got was delicious it was so flaky and flavorful. Everything we received was amazing. We decided to try the banana pudding for dessert and though presented pretty that was the only disappointment we had. The pudding consistence was grainy and creamy, I wouldn't recommend it.
Definitely want to try their bread pudding though next time, but they only serve it during dinner.
Tip: If you come for lunch make sure you don't go an hour or two before they close because after a certain time they run out of chicken during the lunch rush.
