I went to Stand Up Live because Trae Crowder was performing, and he's amazing. As a venue, it's...not great. The tables are packed pretty close together so it's hard to move your chair a little to see without bumping into people. There's a two-drink minimum per person, so even after you've spent good money on your ticket, each guest has to spend money buying drinks--$12 for two sodas or bottles of water or $14+ for a couple of beers. You can buy a bottomless soft drink for $14, which fulfills your two-drink minimum and comes with two free VIP tickets to a show, but the only catch is that the shows only include "special events," and almost every event at Standup Live is a special event. I also heard that there's a $15 fee for these "free" tickets when used. In any case, $100+ for two is pretty pricey for a 90-minute show, especially since that doesn't even include food.
