| - Not your ordinary thrift store...this is my go-to place for large bags of dog food (including top brands like Nutro, Rachel Ray, & Purina), although obviously what you bought last time may not be in stock today. I also frequently find designer handbags, office chairs, framed artwork (which I get just for the frames), men's dress and work shoes and boots, men's underpants (brand new), as well the usual assortment of small and large appliances. Little grab bags of soaps, shampoos and potions from the fancy hotels cost a mere $1. I have a fancy chrome toaster at my office that I bought here for $8 with a bagel and defrost setting. So if you come by to see me at work, I will be glad to show it off to you.
Once of my neighbors told me that when her home was destroyed in a fire last year, the Charity part of the store provided her with a substantial gift certificate to use to replace the furniture she and the grandkids had lost. So it is nice to know that real people actually are helped by the donations made to the store.
Not that I particularly care, but the staff at this store does make you feel special. They arranged delivery for my patio set for a modest fee.
