| - We had the hardest time getting to the Omni, between the roads closed for construction and numerous cross streets blocked due to a 2 day festival, I realize this is not their fault but when we finally found it there were no markings or signs anywhere directing where to park or where the entrance was it was super confusing, in addition it appeared that some major work was being performed on the exterior of the building because there was scaffold all over which perhaps might have been blocking any signage. We ended up going to the Marriott a block and a half away and used their valet. We then walked back trying to find an entrance, we searched all over and ended up on the first floor of what we thought was the hotel but it was all retail and food shops. Absolutely no signage as to where the lobby was let alone the hotel. We noticed a huge construction wall in this atrium type of space and looked up to the second level and it seemed like that might be where we needed to be. The escalators to this floor turns out were inside of that big construction wall so they were out of service. We then searched for stairs to no avail but finally found an elevator. There was no signage when getting off the elevator so we started searching and found the check in area it literally was a small desk in a hallway, thats it. The room was prepaid in full. They asked for a credit card and we said we would not be charging anything else, they still required us to give them one, they said $50 would be charged on it right away for any potential incidentals and if nothing was charged they would credit it back. I have never heard of such a thing. We got to our room it was nothing special, bathroom was tiny. Our view was of the swimming pool that was out of service and full of stagnant water and the deck surrounding it was full of construction material. Now we started getting the picture the entire place was under refurbishment, their website and all the other sites that sell their property should state this important fact but they don't. We then proceeded to take care of the business we came to do and got back to our room about 9:30 and decided to go to the hotel bar for a drink and something to eat, we had to stop and ask how to get to it as I said this place is super confusing, we got there and it is a portable bar in a closet or janitors type room, ordered a drink and looked at the menu the bartender had just given me, as I am getting ready to tell him what we wanted to eat he says "nothing on that menu is available", really then why did you give it to me, ugh. Their website said all night dining/room service was available, huh? I really dislike this place and would never go back.
