| - I have really refrained from giving this office a rating for 6 months, but today the straw has broken the camels back. We relocated and as a family were seen by Dr. Martinez. We have rarely had dental problems in the past and scheduled ourselves for our routine 6 month cleaning and check. My husband didn't even get his teeth cleaned, even though he was scheduled for a cleaning. The doctor was more interested is telling him he needed $4000. worth of dental work (after insurance), even though my husband had no complaints and had been to our previous family dentist 6 months prior. After getting a second opinion, my husband simply needed a filling which cost $80. I had a night guard made (3 if you count all of the mistakes they made), and it still isn't correct. The first one was so bad, the doctor was appalled I was sent home with it by the tech. After seeing the fit, he took it from my mouth and threw it in the trash. The second one made also had an incorrect fit. The third one made, wasn't right and Dr. Martinez had to chop it up so much to fit. To this day, I still do not wear the 3rd night guard because it is not right. Unfortunately, I cannot get another one from my new dentist because MacDonald Ranch Dentistry billed my insurance and used my benefit for the night guard. My son was told he needed 3 fillings and a deep root cleaning (he is 23). Unfortunately, we allowed the fillings to be done without a second opinion. When we decided to change providers, I called and requested our x-rays be sent to the new dentist (which they did do promptly) and to cancel all future appointments we had on the books. Today was the 4th time since we changed dentists that I received a call about an upcoming appointment. You only get one set of teeth, and I wouldn't trust this place with ours ever again!
