ORIGINAL COMMENTS:
Went to see Ryan Hamilton on April 17th, 2015 and he was awesome. The guy is hilarious and clean. That's why my wife and I went...to hear some clean, funny comedy. The owner ruined it though. He got up twice and drilled the audience to buy drinks and dropped the F-bomb at least 50 times. That said, these are my issues.
#1 I understand that food and beverage are part of being profitable. Instead of guilting the audience multiple times into buying drinks and appetizers, ask politely and you will get better results. The price of admission was very inexpensive so I don't think people will have a problem buying some food and drink, just don't be a jerk about it. So my suggestion is to either have 2 drink minimum or stop pestering people about it. #2 If the owner is going to perform every night then he needs to know his audience. If your headliner is known for his clean comedy chances are your audience came for that reason. They don't want to hear the F word every sentence. I'm not judging anyone and their choice of words, just offering a suggestion to cater more to your audience.
UPDATE AFTER OWNER'S COMMENTS:
Howard, sounds like you have some pent up frustrations. Wow, that response was inspiring. I do not know Ryan Hamilton personally. I was not a guest of the headliner. I sat in the back of the room at a skinny table with 6 people. If riding piggy back and spooning the guy in front of me because the chairs are smashed together so tight are considered the best seats in the house then yes, I had the best seats in the house. We ordered 3 drinks for 2 people so we wouldn't be shunned. Really confused here...? Now I don't like you even more, Howard.
