Dim sum at Shangri-La is unlike any other dim sum restaurants I've been to. Dim sum is served in a upscale, modernized banquet hall with beautiful drapes flowing from the ceilings. Gorgeous. The space is very large so there is more than enough room between tables plus some. This is definitely a location I'd imagine many weddings to be held at. I can't help but to feel a little classy eating dim sum here - HAHA. There was even a water fountain right outside the banquet hall.
Like in typical Canadian fashion, customers are given a menu sheet with check off boxes to choose whatever dishes they wish to eat. Worry not, the sheet contains both English and Chinese. We ordered many dishes including: siu mai with fish roe, spicy cuttle fish tentacles, beef balls, chicken feet, steamed rice noodles with beef, steamed rice noodles with fried dough, bean curd roll with mixed veggies, etc. Everything was super yummy and quite possibly some of the best dim sum I've ever had. DELISH!
Highly recommended.
