| - Staycation anyone?
You don't have to go far to get a mini vacation here. As a local, I frequent this place mainly because it's away from the strip, but it's only 5mins away so you're not really missing out. Location is convenient, that way I don't have to deal with the large crowds. This hotel does seem to be more family-friendly than most.
The best part? The parking! Almost if not all casinos started charging for parking now, wether its valet or self-parking. So if you're staying at The Palms, you don't have to pay for self parking. Leave your car there and walk on over to the strip.
Rooms aren't too expensive and they look nice. Housekeeping does a great job. And the bathroom is huge!
When booking, call and double check to see if there is any construction going on. Sometimes the websites fail to mention that, so you might get stuck in a room next to all the noise. Now if you don't mind waking up around 6am, then you'll be fine..
If you can, book during the summer that way you'll have access to the pool!
Hungry? Well then give their buffet a try! It's pretty good and not as expensive as others on the strip. Even if I'm not staying here, I enjoy coming in and gambling a little. They have a food court right up front... Pizza, McDonald's and my favorite Earl of sandwich, just to name a few.
One of the main reasons I come here, is for their movie theater. Sometimes they do specials throughout the week. I believe they have $5 movie tickets on Mondays right now. They change so you could always call or check their website.
So recline your seat and enjoy a movie!
