I'm new to Las Vegas and haven't attended a formal church service in several years. I attended last Sunday and immediately felt a part of a community. I felt so comfortable and welcomed. At no point was I intimidated or uncomfortable the moment I drove onto the parking lot. In my opinion whether you identify yourself as a Christian or not this is worth checking out. It felt so good to be surrounded by the positive energy and friendless at Central especially being new to the area. I'm still learning about their values and programs but when I walked into the building and saw a sign on the wall saying "it's ok - to not be ok" I felt at ease. There's fabulous uplifting music and I almost forgot I was at a "church" (based on the more structured religion I grew up in). Driving home I reflected on the message from the pastor and I was blown away by how applicable and relevant his message was to my life. The one hour service felt like 15 minutes and I didn't want it to end. My children were in town spending the weekend with me and that's one of the reasons they were sad to go back to Colorado, that they couldn't return the following weekend to attend again. I'm so glad to have found this church.
