  • This review is for their banquet rooms and event services. I recently attended a charity gala here. Having only been here for a couple of concerts in the past, I hadnt really seen the areas where they hold weddings, galas and conferences. I was surprised it was as nice as it was. Nothing over the top fancy but very clean with a good layout. I guess the property is not old enough for the decor to appear dated either. There was a wedding going on in a nearby room with dancing and music and when in the lobby, you couldn't even tell. Great sound proofing! What impressed em most was the food. Our event had over 200 people in attendance and each course came out hot, professionally served. The food was delicious and much fancier plating than I expected for that type of a venue. As it was a charitable gala, I know the evening would have been on a budget - but that didn't show at all in the food! My only issue was the house wine they served each table at dinner. It was gross and off a lesser quality than they were serving at the cash bar. The cash bar wine brand isn't expensive so they should have stuck with that for the table service. I will give the cash bar server credit though, when after dinner I tried to buy a glass of the better wine, he did offer to go to the kitchen and see if there was wine left from dinner so it could be free. I didn't take him up on the offer but that was good service! If I were ever planning an event that needed banquet or conference facilities, this would be a good choice. There is also a ton of parking, which a lot of the competition in Calgary doesn't have.
