| - This is my 1st time at the Linq and I can honestly say it will be my last, unless I am given a free room. While it is a drastic upgrade from the horrible Imperial Palace, there are still more upgrades to be done. This hotel should have waited another month before opening.
We were told we were receiving a "High Roller View" room. However, as you can see in the pics I'll be posting, there is NOTHING high roller about our view. Also, the view we did have was quite disturbing should one want to relax in bed prior to getting dressed for brunch. The curtain closed, but did not turn thus, leaving a gap between the wall and the curtain. Had a worker been working, they would have clear view of me while lying in bed. Um, EWWW!!
The bathroom was adorably quaint. Yet we were not given complimentary soap for hand washing. Really?!? No complimentary bars of SOAP?!? The shower was decent. The basin was cute. The mirrors were helpful. The towels were clean and well stocked.
The staff was overly friendly which I could appreciate. Yet many were uninformed about varying hotel accomodations. One lack of accomodation was free wi-fi. As a guest, I was told the charge for wi-fi was $13.99 per device. REALLY?!?!? As a GUEST?!?! In Vegas?!?!? Aria gives free wi-fi for 2 hours to visitors, yet Linq won't give their own GUESTS free wi-fi. AMAZING!!!
Their parking garage is as horrid as it was when it was Imperial Palace. Thankfully, valet was staffed with pleasant drivers, willing to help and park our car.
While this boutique hotel has made many upgrades, there are many more to be made for the average Vegas hoteler and tourist. Thanks Linq. I MAY try you again, next year when everything will hopefully be running smooth. As of now, such is not the case.
