| - This place is a tough one to review. Nothing horribly great, but nothing terribly awful. It's mostly because every staff person I came in touch with over our weekend stay was very amenable. Still our room had some fixes needed... It was lacking for sure.
First off, our room smelled of mold or something fierce & foul. Then, our carpet was full of large stains. Later, we discovered our sleep number bed was broken and stuck on 100 --- hard as a rock. When we checked in, we got keys to a room that someone was already occupying. But the reception did give us a restaurant credit as an apology w/o us asking; and our happy hour/ dinner was quite tasty. Needless to say, The bartender was very personable as well.
Later, we spent an afternoon in/at the pool. Due to two side by side pools (one with a gradual beach effect and waterfall, the other a regular pool), we could find a spot that was away from the playing kids. Both pools were very warm due to 108* outside. But the shade was non existent over the pool and quite limited on the deck. But it was enjoyable.
I also took advantage of the gym. It was doable, but both visits had no towels available and no alcohol/disinfectant wipes for the equipment. The machines were functional, I just had to go and get paper towels from the outside bathroom with soap to wipe down others' sweat. The location was decent too. We found some very enjoyable restaurants and desert shops nearby. We probably/might would return, but next time, we would request a room a working bed for sure.
