I joined Kelly R on her anniversary dinner at Louisianne's (being her boyfriend), and had a wonderful time.
I almost walked by the door to the place, because it's placed oddly in a narrow alley, but once down there I loved the atmosphere. The stone walls and arched ceilings gave a solid but cozy feel, and the New Orleans jazz piped through warmed the dinning room right up.
I had the coffee roasted chicken with an orange, ricotta, and nut sauce, and it was amazing. I never thought such an odd combination would work, but it did. I tried Kelly's shrimp, and they were great but a bit spicy for my taste. My only regret was that there was too much food for me to eat it all.
