Decided after years of being afraid of motorcycles, that I wanted to learn to ride so that I could keep up with my husband and son. I signed up for the Basic Motorcycle Safety Course. Although the classroom portion was relatively easy, the practical course proved to be a bigger challenge than I anticipated. Wisely, my instructor did not pass me. I was both disappointed and relieved -- more relieved if the truth be told. But, after two hours of private instruction at the training center in Gilbert, I feel so much more confident . I am ready to jump back into a practical class and ultimately test out successfully. Kudos to these instructors who are so knowledgeable and patient while preparing completely novice riders to mount a motorcycle (or in my case a scooter) and brave the open roads. I actually can't wait to finish! Thank you to Paul B who had the courage and the kindness to hold me back and thank you to Jim at the training center for helping me find the confidence to continue to move forward -- like a cheetah! :D
