| - Not a big fan of a company bashing on other companies continuously. Saying it in person and then again in writing. They can't come up with anything else to speak about their quality of work. This company may have 38 glowing reviews on yelp with a few 1-2 stars ratings, but still has a 5 star on yelp doesn't add up to me. Plus a lot of the reviews are only people who has less than 10 reviews and didn't post photos of their results. I'm not so sure if the reviews are legit. I remember working for a company that made us post glowing reviews about the company thru a made up account. Which I'm super against. We got our first quote back in December 2016 for $47-48k. This is the quote for not using the smaller tractor, they would have to break down the brick wall and rebuilt($1200). If we were to use the smaller tractor to come into our backyard. That would be a $3000. Let's say we were quoted $48k and we have to use the smaller tractor to come it. $48k minus $1200 plus $3000. The comes out to $49,800. We were so busy with moving in and having the builder come in to do their touchup to the house. We weren't ready until after February-March of 2017. I reached out in April 2017 and was told that our quote now is $53k. Everything has increased since we last spoke and that we need to use the smaller tractor. Well, that's not cool, but I get it. It's now October. I fully reached out to someone else in the company trying to get a quote just for me not with my husband because I'm not a fan of how Danny the sales advisor spoke to me. This new sales advisor is slow. Very laid back...not a good thing either. Took him a while to respond and then finally got him to come out to do the measurement like I asked from the beginning. He said it wasn't necessary for him to swing by the house for the measurement and asked if I can give him the measurements. Odd. I told him our limit was $50k and if we can get the quote it in for under $50k we're good to go and I would start the loan process. He said ok, it's do able, he'll have to put everything in the system and see. But after he came to measure everything I don't hear from him in 2 weeks. I had to personally write him a email to see what's going on and then he went on about we already had a quote from Danny which now it's back to the $53k. We've been trying to get our quote back down to what is called reasonable. But afterwards the same type of tone I received in the email from the sales advisor. They did drop it to $51,500, come on! $50k was the limit. You're telling us it's only a few thousands more to do other designs which would make look our "PLAIN" pool look better. The thing is, we don't want those designs. We didn't ask for it. We don't need to spend more than the $50k. Comes down to it. In my opinion, having to deal with these two sales advisor.
California Pools, arrogant who don't need your business and bashes on other companies. Just so you're aware, YELP isn't the only rating source out there. You don't even have 100 reviews, not even 50. I saw some companies with almost 100 reviews with an A rating that you did bashed on. I provided the email I received. If you want them to treat you with no respect, use them. People who don't write reviews, tend to only write reviews when something bad happens. Regular review writers are the ones you should trust and the ones with photos of the work they had done.
