| - I understand that this resort has recently undergone some management changes and have plans to make improvements.
Upon arrival, whilst awaiting my friend who made the reservation I went to the concierge to ask them about Apex (previously Ghost bar)
My question "Is Apex open yet?" - pretty simple question for a concierge to answer in vegas regarding the resorts premier nightlife spot. Her response was to shrug her shoulders, to which another colleague overheard and witnessed in embarrassment and responded "yes sir, it is a soft opening"
Once my friend arrived to checkin the gentleman assured us that none of the recently remodeled rooms had two beds in the ivory tower so we would need to stay in the fantasy tower and would have a "partial strip view"
We entered our room. Furniture was literally being held together with duck tape, chipped and old, albeit, it was a good size room, alas, we would not stand for the view. We were literally looking over a construction site.
We complained and were moved to the ivory tower, turns out they did have two bed rooms after all.
The hotel is looking good in the casino, great job there, as are their restaurants. But as a 4 star hotel they need to improve the knowledge and honesty of their colleagues. And the rooms in the Fantasy tower are far too dated. - a long way to go but potential is definitely their!
