I ordered special cookies from MF in September for a party. I contacted them approximately two months prior to ask them all of the WHEN's and HOW's of placing an order. They told me to call two weeks prior to the pick up day which I did. I paid for half of the order over the phone when I ordered them. The pick up day I called them to see if I could get them at 10 am rather than 11 am. They told me they will be ready at 10:30. I thought to myself, why would 30 minutes make a difference. Then I thought, they probably forgot about my order. I had very specific instructions (with pictures) which is why I wrote to them months before to see if they could do what I wanted. I go there to pick up the order and they were just starting to ice the cookies. I had my kids who are little and don't do very well waiting like most 2&4 year olds. I walked in and said to them, 'I really hope that is NOT my order. I ordered these two weeks ago based on YOUR recommendation.' They said to me 'excuse me??' In a not so nice tone. I repeated myself. They proceeded to say, yes this is your order and it will be done in a few minutes. I was heated, I said I am supposed to take these out of town right now and they aren't even done? I called this morning to confirm and they still aren't ready-I'm sure you forgot about my order. They asked if I wanted to take my kids home to drop them off and the order will be ready by the time I get back. That got me even more aggravated-I said no way I need to LEAVE now with my order. They kept stalling. It was really the attitude they had while talking to me-just EXTREMELY NASTY! So when it was ready a half hour later-I looked at the cookies before I paid the balance and they were WRONG! I asked why they were wrong and the two owners looked at each other and one said to the other- 'did you know what she wanted? The other said, 'yes but I forgot, it was on the instructions she gave us.' They reluctantly gave me a 10% discount and sent me on my way with terrible attitudes. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect in any establishment. I tried to post my story on Facebook and they took it down and blocked me. I told some people over that time period and it turned out that this was NOT the first time they FORGOT an order. Several people told me their stories of MF's forgetting their orders. I will obviously never return and will share my story with anyone who will listen. Nobody has the right to treat others the way I was treated there. They are nasty and don't really care about being nasty.
