| - For the longest time, I truly felt that dentists were some sort of holdover from the Spanish Inquisition who, much like trademark lawyers and car salespeople had insinuated themselves into the very fabric of society to our collective detriment.
Don't get me wrong: I've had a handful of positive dental experiences in the past. However years upon years of poorly adjusted braces, ineptly performed fillings, and clueless/outright rude dental professionals made the very prospect of visiting a dentist somewhat harrowing.
In all honesty, my visit to Harris Dental wasn't something I scheduled by choice. Well, okay, maybe I technically *chose* to give them a call, but I only did so after realizing that the dental-care strategy I'd been using for the last several years, i.e., "brush my teeth twice a day and hope for the best" was ultimately unsustainable.
As you've no doubt deduced from my rating of the place, my experience at Harris Dental was wholly positive. The office staff are prompt and courteous, the facility is clean, modern and well maintained, and (most importantly) Dr. Cowlin is, by far, the best dentist I've ever had. I can't recommend this place enough.
A quick caveat however - they're not open on Fridays and weekends, so if your schedule in inflexible during the week (as mine can sometimes be) scheduling can sometimes be difficult. The front desk staff however, have generally been pretty great about rescheduling every time I've needed to make a change, so the process of setting/moving appointments is pleasant and expedient.
If Monday - Thursday appointments work perfectly well for you however, this place deserves a full five stars.
