  • I took a friend to see La Bayadere and it was extremely disappointing. The orchestra was too quiet, so it did not drown out the sound of the ballerinas as their pointe shoes clomped on the floor. It sounded like a herd of cattle every time they moved. The leading ladies were about a foot taller than the primary male dancer, so everything looked awkward when they danced together, although I give him props for being able to lift them. The ladies corps was out of sync with each other and dreadful. We left during the intermission because we were laughing at the performance.
