I didnt realize that a couple of 4s for pocket depths required a "deep cleaning" that costs nearly $1700. I was informed by another dentist that I was taken advantage of. My insurance does not cover deep cleaning with 4s or lower so unless someone padded the paperwork, Im not sure how this cleared my insurance. The very friendly staff had me convinced that this procedure was necessary... my cleaning was thorough and done in under an hour but not what would be considered "deep" by any means.
To add to that, I went here last year and they told me the same thing. I did not have insurance so I went to the dental hygeine school to have it done for $25. The cleaning I had there was much more thorough and "deeper". I am an avid brusher and my gums dont bleed so there is no way that this would be necessary a year later. They have great sales people...gotta hand them that.
