I try to start with the positives. The location is hard to beat and that actually says a lot. The beds are comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful, that also is very important. Where this hotel fails a bit may mostly be because time has had its way with it. The furniture, the wallpaper, the carpet, the balcony, the bathrooms are all old and show their wear. The rooms are very small. The adult pool is fine but more shallow than the kids pool (making the kids pool not so friendly for the very young). I see that others have mentioned updated and renovated rooms, perhaps I didn't get to see one of those. I also agree that the parking garage is difficult to navigate perhaps almost as much as the numerous elevators.
Overall, the price was not bad but I might look around the next time I'm in Toronto.
