Tuesday 29 Dec 15 @ 1835L. Just stopped by this Best Buy to buy a new headset for my computer, there were only three options to choose from which wasn't a big deal since I am not usually to particular. I picked one of the headsets and headed to checkout, the store must have been reorganized recently because the area where you used to go had new displays where the line used to be and the line was a narrow area (probably two feet wide at most.) There were two people ahead of me in line, one checking out and one waiting with only one employee checking customers out. The cashier kept asking the person checking out if he wanted different warranties and additional items dragging the checkout process out. This went on for about five minutes while both me and the customer ahead of me starting to get irritated with the wait, meanwhile when I look around the store there are:
- three employees (one of them being the greeter) joking around near the front of the store
- two employees in the geek squad area typing away on their computers
- one employee in the computer area standing around (who also looked like a freak, way to much makeup and eyelashes like something out of a horror movie)
Of these six employees who weren't helping customers none of them came over to help the lone employee working at one of the four cash registers, instead they stood around goofing off with each other.
This store doesn't care about sales or customers, seems to only care about goofing off with each other. This is why more people are buying online instead of from the big box stores.
