  • This is a great little hole-in-the-wall mexican joint. Overall I'd say while service can be a bit iffy, the food is great and reasonably priced. Chips and salsa is one of my fave foods, and it's complimentary here. The self-serve salsa bar in the back is extensive, with about 8-12 different salsas at a time. I've been here twice and my favorites are their jicama salsa, pico de gallo, and chipotle. I wish the salsa cups were larger, but that's a minor peeve ... and let's face it, I'm not someone who's ashamed to go up to the salsa bar 5 times. (Given the rate at which I inhale chips, I probably need to fit in some excercise laps to the salsa bar anyway.) On my most recent visit (around 5:30pm on a Thursday) we ordered standard margaritas. I wasn't super impressed with them (and think they were just made from a mix), but when I got the bill and saw they were only $3 each, I wasn't too upset. They did have a proper drink menu, so next time I'm here I may try one of their other cocktails. Just as a menu tip for if you're debating between tacos, the "street tacos" near the bottom of the menu are smaller (~4") than the "gourmet" ones listed at the top (~5"). I've gotten both kinds and prefer the smaller street tacos, but maybe I'm just biased toward miniature foods. The first time I visited I also ordered rice and beans, which were better than I've had at most places, though I'm not a huge fan of rice & beans in general. I love mole and they have mole tacos and other mole dishes which I would LOVE to try, but alas thanks to my nut allergy I can't ... I'll have to live vicariously through my fellow Yelpers' reviews & photos on that one!
