| - My wife and I needed a weekend retreat. No kids, no noise, no family...just the two of us. We came across this hotel through google searching and opted to take a risk by staying here. We know that with new hotels, there are growing pains and the experience may not be up to par. We were expecting hiccups upon our arrival. But we were pleasantly surprised that our stay was hiccup free.
When you walk through their main doors you might be slightly confused seeing two hotels under one roof. Don't be. Turn to your right and head to the front desk. The staff here are friendly and will make check in a breeze. You will only get one key card and you will understand why the moment you walk in. The keycard is a security pass. Wand it over the door and place it in the slot on the wall, presto your lights turn on. When you leave, take your card and the lights turn off. Brilliant design in my opinion.
The room decor is fantastic. Modern design and furniture you would see in a show home. The LED lighting for the bed is a cool feature if you want to get your rave on. Every aspect of the room is comforting. They give you FREE wifi, free coffee and bottled water, a fridge and a great selection of cable channels. You will have a fabulous stay here.
As an added bonus they have roof top hot tubs. These look over the airport and offer a great view of downtown Calgary. Sunny, rainy, cold, it doesn't matter, you can relax and soak with a view of the outdoors. FYI, bring your own towel. They had no towel service here when I booked my room.
Overall, the stay was great. Yes it isn't close to anything but that doesn't matter. You're close to Deerfoot Trail and within 15 minutes of the downtown core. There are food stores close by if you want to grab some grub for the room. I will be back to enjoy this place .
