| - I'm usually a good judge of character, but tried to give the sales person the benefit of the doubt. I attended one of the Skin Scene events primarily because my friend recommended I go for the VIP laser hair treatment card. Prior to attending the event, my friend confirmed with the sales rep that they would have the VIP card at the event for me to purchase. I even confirmed with another person at the laser institute the previous day and she assured me that that they would have the VIP card. So to my surprise and dissatisfaction, the sales rep my friend had talked to on the phone, was at the door and played stupid about the VIP card and said she would need to talk to a manager or the owner because she doesn't have authority to make these decisions. I was pretty pissed, but I attended the full, 90 mins of cheesy business gimmicks. (Insert painfulness). After the event, I spoke to Janis, the assistant sales manager, who assured me that I would get a call from her personally by 4:00 PM the next day as she would try to talk to her management about it further. I didn't get a good vibe from her as I definitely felt she was giving me lip service. Sure enough....no call. Surprise, surprise. Janis, you and your ridiculously shady sales reps can keep your business to yourself. I want no part of your company's shadiness.
