| - There is something about coming to Vegas and eating at restaurants that are located all over Los Angeles, but our first time dining there is in Vegas! ha! The same thing happened with EggSlut - last time I came to Vegas, I tried EggSlut for the first time even though there are a ton in LA!
Anywho, this time my family wanted a quick lunch and something we have not tried before, and I always wanted to try Bruxie and here we are! And here was one of the best meals of our trip or of any restaurant!
We had the $5 coupon for signing up online for their newsletter which was awesome, it's a great coupon, and although the prices are not too expensive, this makes it even cheaper!
We ordered two sandwiches - the Original and the Holy Chicken
WOW these.are.dee.lish.ous!!!
The original has chili-honey, coleslaw, and their original seasoning. The chicken is so light, juicy, tender, while the batter is also so light and crispy, thin, and just so tasty with all the seasonings. The waffle is absolutely amazing - fluffy, crispy, and airy and oh so good, and together they make quite a good size sandwich! It isn't too spicy but the sweet-spicy honey-chili is amazing.
Now the Holy Chicken . . . my god this was amazing and almost puts Roscoe's to shame with the chicken and waffle combo!
Again, the delicious waffle, so fluffy and crispy and thin, but the chicken is glazed in maple syrup - seriously, what is better than maple syrup and fried chicken!? Thick, crispy applewood smoked bacon for some added savory-salty flavor. Thick slices of gooey cheddar cheese sticking to the waffle. A hint of sriracha for some kick, and the cherry-on-top, a fried egg cooked perfectly with the yolk running down the chicken and soaked up by the waffle!
Seriously, thank you Bruxie for this phenomenal lunch with the absolute best fried chicken, waffle, and combination of ingredients as well as the great service for something special and perfect in Las Vegas! I will be happy to return next time I am in Vegas and visit the LA locations!
