  • A slice n a sunset! Three and a half stars. The views are stunning and contrary to most other reviewers, our service was excellent. I'm very pleased about that since I'm a bit of a "good service maniac." After all, I'm expected to walk in a place and lay down 20% or so...you better give me something for it. Not only was our server on-time & professional, but he is from near Chicago, so we had a lot of "pizza-worthy" discussion! And about Brugo's pizza: we liked it! I was though, slightly disappointed by the "thick" crust. (Thickest you can order was still "thin" by my standards.) Kind of has more of an unleavened bread quality to me that I don't look for in a crust. The pizza style overall here is more "NY-style" in that they do offer that paper thin crust (the foldable kind.) We had a half Chrissy/half Meat Lover's. It was absolutely loaded with toppings and everything was fresh tasting. The sauce had too much of a "zing" to me at first, but then it grew on me. This isn't your average priced pie (medium 12") at $22.50 but you're paying for quality and atmosphere as well. I liked that our server told us "whatever you want." (We were asking about holding off mushrooms on 1/2 a Chrissy or in doing the 1/2 of one 1/2 of another that we ultimately got. It's very disappointing to me when high-end prices are in place, and then give you the "no substitutions" line!) Happy hour is 3 - 6 & so our wines were $6 glass and a good pour (ie not 5oz only). I've been here a few times now, just for drinks - the bloody mary is excellent! Definitely interested in coming back and trying more from the HH menu, including a bbq chix pizza for $6.00. The interior decor is just as inviting as the view - very enjoyable. I'd love to see real flowers on the tables and the hostess situation could use improvement. Our hostess seemed a bit flustered when greeting us and then upon our departure, there were three people at the hostess stand. I had gone up to it to pick up a flyer and no one acknowledged us leaving, no "Thanks for coming in" or anything. I like it when people remember that first and last impressions make a difference. Also, our to-go slices were placed in a styrofoam box - pieces layered upon each other, separated by paper. While this is "OK," my expectation is that a "pizza place" should send me off with a nice solid pizza box.
