First off, when you first enter the restaurant it had kind of a weird smell from the raw seafood. You get used to it after a while. What's cool about this place is that you get to build your own soup. The restaurant has this conveyer belt style so that you can choose what you want in your soup.
So my man and I never really go to a lot of shabu shabu style restaurants. We decided to try this place out. We were soooo confuse. Our hostess gave us this attitude like she was shock we didn't know how to do it. Lady, that's why we were asking how to do it. Luckily, our server Matthew was great. He explained to us how to do it. So we ordered the original soup base and a medium spicy soup base. Let me tell you, I can handle a lot of spicy food but man that medium spicy soup base was SPICY!! I literally was tearing up. I had our server change my soup base to original. So if you decide to get that spicy soup base, beware.
Okay the reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because our experience was not so good. We were confuse. They had charged me for the spicy soup base when I only had one bite of it. I changed it to original. Usually restaurants can accommodate that for you esp. if they notice you were burning up and tearing. And I didn't like how that hostess was rude to us. Also, the oysters wasn't fresh. :/
I did like the broth but I didn't like how the aromatics they put in the broth made it hard to enjoy. I found myself trying to spit it out. I know they gave us the slotted spoon but still it was hard to enjoy.
