| - Hm.
Nice owner. She totally knew who I was just based on my area code when calling in to verify my reservation. Pretty cool.
From there, that's when the brakes screech to a stop on this bus.
Pros/Cons; no order. I'm just going to close my eyes and type as it comes:
Room looks like an apartment display room from 1981. Old ceiling fan, baby blue walls with a grey worn leather couch.
Music controls are typical Korean karaoke-style, they even have an English version of the pad that always reminds me of those old label makers you used at the office for file folders. The lady said that the controls were blinky, and boy, were they..
The microphones have little 'hygiene covers' on them. Nice touch, actually.
She pressed soju on us, and we received a single lemon-flavored wine cooler with 3 tiny glasses. We never EVER saw service again the entire night. Luckily, we weren't hungry and the sweet soju kinda upset my tummy.
When we first walked in, there was an open bag of veggie chips (like from Costco) on top of the music console, which she quickly picked up. When the soju was brought to us (you know, that single bottle for a few of us) we were brought a handful of the SAME CHIPS on a paper plate *shudder* Needless to say, we didn't touch them all night.
The music selection was poor, and the music video background is on repeat, so you end up watching the same videos repeatedly if you stay a while.
Prices are cheaper than I'm used to, for private room karaoke. But...you get what you pay for.
REGARDLESS, karaoke is what you make it. If you want to have a good time karaoke-ing, then gawdamn, you're going to have fun no matter what!
