I've been to a couple sushi places in the valley, and the sushi at Yellowtail is not impressive.
The OMG roll lacked flavor and the ingredients did not complement well. The Twin Volcano rolls were 2 small rolls wrapped with eel. They were OK but, not worth $13.
We also ordered the Las Vegas roll; the tempura batter was stale.
The Lettuce Wraps appetizer was too watery. The lettuce was still dripping with water, and the filling had too much sauce resulting in a watery mess.
The sirloin steak was good, but the side dishes that came with it was over cooked. The shitake mushrooms still had the stems on them, making them difficult to eat.
The customer service was decent, but I felt they were too eager and forced. I felt like I was being rushed to order, even though I knew they were trying to be enthusiastic.
Lastly, the bathrooms were disgusting! I hear that a restaurant's cleanliness is based on how clean their bathrooms are.
I would not come back again unless they significantly improve.
