| - First off the hotel is huge inside, lots of restaurants, Seattle Coffee chain inside the hotel, Cinemark movie theater (I think 16 theaters), Bowling Alley, Equestrian (we missed the show it was $15 for a competition so ask when you get there), lots of slot machines (including the one with cherry at any position that's rare), $3 Craps we spent 5 hours at with 2 other couples (craps you lose little at a time so $100 will get you hours of excitement), $1 roulette!!, its all great, they even have hot dog carts when football games are playing and Monday night pigskin football event where you sign up for chance to win $250 every quarter of the game, covered parking with very little walking to the hotel, great views of the strip and vast desert and mountains which is gorgeous to me, reflective mirror glasses which give you privacy on the inside and amazing colors on your skin when you are at the pool and want to take pictures, it also warms you up when you are at the pool as it doubles the suns strength. So that's all the hotel except the room.
They also gave us a coupon book with free drinks, free buffet and free gift from the souvenir shop (these were all the free stuff) and lots of other free with purchase coupons like popcorn, desert etc that required a purchase. We used lots of our coupons plus we got comp'd buffet because we gambled a lot so we barely paid for food. Our breakfast was at the Seattle Best Coffee which is just like starbucks and its convenient to have inside the hotel (with regular pricing! for comparison the Starbucks at MGM properties, Monte Carlo and Luxor were I shopped are twice as expensive as LA for instance regular medium size coffee is $380 vs $1.95 here in LA)
The service and people at the register (specifically Holly) were fantastic and very helpful. The people at the buffet (which is really inexpensive by the way with the player card).
The SPA area is gorgeous, we didnt use it because we thought $25 is a bit high but next time we will get a service like manicure and use the SPA for free. SPA is $45/ 3 days. There is a couples area also that is separate admission than the regular SPA fee. Gym is $15/day. I think they will lower the cost to the SPA and Gym because none of us in our group used it and when we got a free tour of the place (to see what it looked like) it was empty. It has a nice lounge area for men to watch sports and read, very quite and relaxing to fall asleep in. I guess in the cold months where you cant use the pool its more popular.
Now about the room and hallways. The elevator area is nice, the hallways are fresh looking with new carpet (the building is new, that's why) and the rooms are really nice and modern. Everything feels fresh and new. The beds are comfortable but the top sheet as someone else also pointed out feels like its un-breathable material so we just put it on the ground when we slept. Also we didn't know how to use the AC so we ended up having the AC on ON instead of Auto so the fan ran all night and I woke up with dried eyes and dry throat. Overall rooms are very nice and definitely fit the 4 star category in American standards (and 7 star in European standards). We just stayed at Monte Carlo and I think that was 3.5 Star but claimed 4 star. The bathroom is really nice, the shower is stone all the way up and the bathroom/shower being separate is a real convenience. The hotel is well insulated so you barely hear the other rooms, heck I couldn't even talk to my wife from the bathroom, she couldn't hear me.
The only problem is the distance from the strip which didn't bother us because we had a car and it was about 10min ride and parking is free everywhere on the strip casinos anyway so one night we went to the strip and the other day we spent the whole day inside the hotel because there was enough to do inside.
There is a Mexican restaurant also that has great lunch specials for $8.95 includes chips guacamole and salsa, margarita (or soda), soup, and two items like burritos or tacos. We had lunch there and loved the foot. Lunch special was 11-3pm
