I wish we would have consulted yelp before we rented from this company. Because our experience was similar to the other reviewers.
Our first mistake was renting a house before seeing it. (Yes, I know- stupid. We had a young baby and lived 12 hrs away.) But we thought the price we were paying for rent it should be ok. Wrong! The pictures on the internet were not up-to-date. The house was dirty, paint job horrendous, carpet had a huge dirt ring around the edge (Jenny who was the agent said she had the carpet cleaned 3x and couldn't get it out. Perhaps that's a clue that new carpet is needed.) Broken blinds and a door. The state of the house was unacceptable but we were stuck because the moving truck was on it's way.
Next, getting Maintance to come out in a timely fashion is a joke. I had to call and email several times before someone came out. And the people they sent out were questionable.
Last, as I stated above there was damage to the house when we moved in. We documented the damage (blinds and a door) In a move-in document that we returned to them. Jenny assured us we wouldn't be charged for it. I'm sure you can guess where I'm going with this. When we received our deposit back they charged us for the door and blinds. As well with other numerous deductions. The explanation was vague and Ray ( park avenue rep) couldn't give us specifics as to what we were charged for. We got stuck paying for damage we didn't do because that move-in sheet mysteriously wasn't in our file. I was able to confirm that that we were wrongly charged for a few items and asked Ray to reimburse us. Well Ray stopped calling me back and wouldn't return my emails. I was able to get a hold of his boss who promised to call me back. But- she didn't. It finally took a stern voicemail and she finally called me back and the check arrived in a few days.
In my opinion, based upon my experience the employees are inadequate and have poor customer service skills.
