  • Bland would be a good word. If you can handle spice, go over what you think you can handle when they ask. He asked us out of 10, what our spice level would be. We said 7, learning our lessons from previous Thai restaurants. What we got was a 1. Zero spice. I was very sad. What we ordered: Crispy duck on drunken noodle ~$27: You get about a quarter of perfectly fried duck atop some drunken noodles, though the flavor signaled to me that the noodles were just a bit buzzed. They were very mild and reminded me a lot of pad see ew. The skin of the duck was extra crispy and made the dish IMHO. I also appreciated that the duck was deboned all the way. The biggest downside was the small noodle portion! We only got two bites, and for $30, we were expecting more duck, if not more noodles at least! Jackfruit curry ~ $12: I would pass on this if you are expecting something like a curry. It was very watery, with very little flavor. The unripe jackfruit was very good, but the watery curry had little flavor...and again, it was watery, even more so than the soup. Green chili dip ~ $11 : Hard pass. It tasted like muddled bell peppers. Zero spice or any flavor other than bell pepper. Not even sure what the real dish is supposed to taste like, but I don't think this is it. Shrimp Pad thai ~ $15: Good! Again, small portion. Grilled shrimp with spicy green sauce ~ $12: This was probably my favorite since it was the least bland. The shrimp was big and grilled very well. It was served on top of some shredded cabbage. Tom yum and tom kah bowls, ~$5 and ~$6 respectively: Very good! Loved the soup here! When I don't get why everyone else loves a place, and to me it was so-so, I tell myself that I probably ordered the wrong things. I'm definitely willing to give it a second shot when I'm back in Vegas. As always, YMMV. Happy eating!
