| - Worst company ever! I've sadly been a Cox subscriber for 5 years by no choice of my own-- I've even tried to switch by having Direct TV come out and other Satellite companies come to tell me I have a tree in the way (which is not mine so I can't get rid of it). Needless to say, here are the problems I've had over the years:
1. I signed up for internet as a "special" $30/mo. Within 3 months they upped the fee to $49.99/mo without any notification then charged me "late fees" when I was paying ON TIME for my $30/mo bill. Then they said they had the right to change the pricing, it says they can change the price at any time. In the last 5 years, they've raised their prices multiple times without notifications-- each time resulting in some sort of late fees
2. I finally bundled my services to hopefully stop these annoying price fluctuations and because I worked nights and was going to be missing my favorite shows. Within 48 hours my box arrives with only the telephone in it, I call-- Cox tells me my cable box is also in the box-- maybe its magical because there is only telephones it in. Finally they decide to send me another cable box and tell me to give it another 48 hours. 10 days later, still no cable box-- which I had now been paying for for 14 days! Finally as a "gift" they send someone out to set up the services for me a $50 value! (no offence a monkey can plug in a cable box) Whatever.
3. Guess what.. CABLE BOX DIDN'T WORK! It kept freezing during live tv and during recorded shows. Sometimes, the shows wouldn't even really record! They would record 5 minutes, or even worse-- 55 minutes! I would miss the last 5 minutes? Get real! They replace the box with another refurbished box, this was even worse-- it didn't even record shows. They replace it yet again with a refurbished box-- this one ALSO was bad! Then the idiot on the phone has the nerve to tell me that its not their product! What do I have a magic remote that makes the boxes suck and not function properly? She happened to believe so. I talk to a supervisor HE AGREES. I insist they replace the box with a NEW one-- low and behold, they do OH MY GOODNESS it works! Who was right? CUSTOMER (i went to the BBB with this one and requested a refund for the entire 2 months of this problem, and this was done thank God)
4. Newest issue-- best one yet. They have a computer glitch that cancelled my bundle! So great news... they sent me a bill for $45 too much. I call to complain, they put me on hold for 25 minutes, then tell me they're too busy to take my call and a supervisor will call me back later-- WITHIN 48 HOURS!!! So now I have a $180 bill sitting on my desk staring me in the face driving me insane, because I don't even know if they can resolve the issue because the bundle doesn't exist anymore!
Screw Cox... USE ANYONE ELSE!!!!
