  • So I have been scratching off my list of things I want to do in 2012 and shooting range happen to be one of them. I had bought a deal on Living Social but I never got around to using it until I noticed that it was expiring so I decided to use it on the last day (procrastinator). I arrive at the range and I enter through the front door. What I see is bunch of people seating everywhere in the store. So I tell myself, stay cool not everyone is like me (procrastinator) but I was so wrong. I asked one the employee as to where do I need to go to sign up and she point to the back side. I get to the counter and I see big line in the back where people are saying there is three hour wait before we can even get inside. I should have known because not only I decided to come on the last day but last minute meaning I arrived at three hours before they close their shop. I saw couple of folks on one side that seemed familiar so I though let me talk to them. Yep, he is the DJ at most of parties I attend. He said that they have been waiting in line since last two and half hours. I was like I am done, so I talk to one guy in the back who is an employee. I asked him, do you know if this range will actually extend this deal? He said most likely not but you can try. That's when I noticed that it was my friend DJ who got their number. So the employee asked me if I knew them, I said yep they are my friends. He said you can join them if they are OK with it that way I don't have to wait in line. I was really excited to hear it. So I go up to the counter and tell the guy that I am with the other two guys who just got it, he says he is not going to let me cut in. So I am back to where I started still standing in line. The other employee came back and asked me how come I am still standing here so I told him what happen. He said I will get you in, he went to the counter and told the guy that if we make him wait... he will use up one lane just for himself where as he will be sharing his friend's lane if we let him get in with them so the guy decided to let me in YAY! I get my gear, a box of ammo and a gun than I pick out my target sheets. I join my friends and they are using 9 mm and 22 mm so we exchanged our guns to try out different guys since this was the first time I was at shooting range. My friends were done with their box in about 30 minutes and I still had box and a half to go so now I had the lane all by myself. Next thing I know, there was this cute girl just came in right next to my lane. So let's just say that I started hitting the target right ON! I had a great experience but I am sure there will be lots of people who will complain about the long wait and how the range wouldn't extend the offer. I just happen to be that lucky guy to get in on time with my friends. I mean they had about 15 lanes so I would think that's good enough but Living Social drove all the traffic that day for sure.
