  • Let's be honest here. This is not Caesars Palace but that doesn't mean that it's not a good buffet for the venue you're eating it at. To start with, understand that this is actually owned by a corporation that owns several different casinos here in town most of them called Coast. For example Gold Coast, Suncoast. Which means you're going to get simular quality at all of these buffets but the Orleans is actually slightly above the cut of the others. I'm only going to be talking about the seafood night, because if you pay a few dollars more it's the only night that it makes sense to go. So, Friday nights are Seafood night. Typically in Las Vegas this is the night that most of the hotels put out Seafood. It makes sense doesn't it? People get paid on Fridays, Seafood is consumed when people get paid and have extra money, unlike the strip hotels which can jack their prices up and put the food out every day of the week this is how the local hotels and casinos operate for seafood. Okay, so what are you getting here? Well, in addition to the regular fare, you're also getting snow crap period The Orleans snow crab is pretty decent. It's not skinny and small and actually quite large compared to other hotels here in town. It comes served cold but you can also take it over to the Mongolian cooking station and have it heated up for you with different spices which is something that no one else offers. Word of warning though, if you're like me and you can't eat seafood then you should probably avoid the Mongolian station all together. They literally cross contaminate like crazy which is the only reason I can't give the early and so true 5 star review. Everything else at the buffet is actually quite good. The food is fresh and turned over on a regular basis. The dessert bar is actually great they have gelato and lots of different desserts for anybody's tastes. Make room for dessert when you go to this one. I can only assume that the rest of the week is just like Friday nights but just without Seafood with the exception of shrimp. I highly recommend the Orleans versus the other local hotels here in Las Vegas because the quality is pretty darn good the wait times are low and the service is great.
